The Orchard
Mrs. Jamieson visited Colonel Talbot in 1837 and wrote in her works (Winter Studies and Summer Rambles) about his gardens, including the orchard. It was sixteen acres, a lot to handle on your own and without modern technology. Talbot grew apple, pear, plum, and cherry trees.
